Viewing error in PSCS4

When I open up my copy of PS CS4 unless I am viewing at 200% then I get all these strange lines all over the image, which makes the software pretty much useless. Is this just a setting I have on? Or is my copy corrupt?

Is photoshop only looking like that or all the applictions are like that?.

If all means check the display drivers (or) display settings for the proper dpi and resolution.

Thanks, but all other programmes are fine, and can't find anything in the programme it'self that would cause this, have used all previous versions down to 7.0, could it be a clash with Vista?

Photoshop can utilize your graphics card for rendering and display to improve performance.

    Open photoshop

Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Performance
Check your GPU settings.  If its turned on it will show its using OpenGL to display images.
    Uncheck the "Enable OpenGL Drawing"
    Restart photoshop
