Netbackup how to: Active Directory

Hi all,

I have Netbackup 6.5 installed and I need to backup the AD Domain Controller but I am not able to do so I have been following a tutorial but at a certain point when I create the policy backup I am not able to see the AD option on the backup selection I can choose windows 2003 but then under Directive on the drop down menu the AD application mode is missing

See the tutorial to understand what I mean:

http://www.netbackuphowto.com/2009/05/28/howto-backup-active-directory-for-granular-restore-windows-2003-r2/

Everything has been set properly what I am missing?

There is a specific AD agent I mean our agent option should include that as well.

I am able to backup Exchange granular restore I am able to backup everything else but not AD

Can you help?

Thanks

it seems that you need a specific license for AD :
http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/netbackup-licensing

check :
you can open the NetBackup Administration Console (Windows or UNIX) and select Help > License Keys...
On UNIX servers, you can also run the following command:
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/get_license_key

Is this specific agent related to a specific license ?

Sorry you ask me? I am not an expert on Netbackup we have package license but I do not think there is a specific license for AD

How can I verify that?
