How to install SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services on SBS 2008

Is it possible to install  SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services on SBS 2008? Not knowing all the limitations of SBS 2008 I had just tried to install SQL as usual. The installtion program crashes shortly after beginning. So I installed just the database engine and that worked. Then I tried to install just SRS and that crashed, you get a message about Windows Installer failing. I was able to install SQL Server 2008 Express Management tools but that does not include SRS.

Sure you can install SSRS along with the SBS 2008. sql server 2008 reporting server is installed by using the sql server installer.

I was just handed the SQL Server 2008 CD that came with SBS 2008. If I go to add/remove programs and try to add just SRS it crashes. If I look in the log file I do not see why it crashes. The pre-system test says all will be fine. I will try again tonight when everyone is off the server.
When  I did the orginal install it crashes during the SRS installation. If I go to install SRS 2008 it thinks it is there. If I try to uninstall SRS 2008 the Windows Installer crashes so right now I have no one of getting SRS uninstalled so I can reinstall it. Any ideas? I did try removing all of SQL Server 2008 but it crashes on the SRS poriton.
Hi,

Are you saying that SQL is not present in add/remove programs and SRS exists (with no entry in add/remove)? Did you try stopping SRS in services.msc?
Yes, there is no SRS in Program and Features however when you run the SQL install program it thinks it is there. The SRS service is there but it cannot be started. It says "access denied" when you try to start it even with the admin account.
Did you try with the SS admin or windows admin? Can you try with SS admin?
I am on as a member of the domain admin group. I even set the Security to use that user and the service will not start. I suppose I could try it as the 'sa' user but I doubt that will work. Is that what you mean by trying as the SS Admin? I cannot get SRS uninstalled.
Yes. I meant SA or any other SS admin account.
Also, did you try repair with services turned off initially?
