Cannot delete last page in Word Doc

I am using word 2003, 2007

There is a word doc with some tables and boarders. THe last page is completely blank. not table or border. For some reason I cannot delete it.

Any ideas?
Thanks SJMP

It might be that the last paragraph has a large 'space before' value, or the penultimate has a large 'space after' value.
Or perhaps there is an extra page break or next page section break. Show the paragraphs and breaks with the Show/Hide (¶) button, so you can see where you are.

I checked the breaks - i fixed it by reducing the margins all around.

It sounds as if the last bit of data & space just overflowed the penultimate page.

but there was nothing on the second page. Not in any view.

No. I think there is a slight design problem in that any extra space that overflows what is expected to be the last page is enough to create an extra page for the printer. It is probably printer-driver dependent.

not sure if the view issue is a problem or by design
