How to receive a SMS with J2ME on a nokia phone?

Hello Experts,

I'm writting a J2ME app that is supouse to read SMSs as soon as the cellphone receives them. Anyboy knows how to do that?

This cannot be done with j2me cldc.

You can specify a port to listen on and to send from when dealing with sms messages. If you send to port 0 the sms message will arrive in the inbox of the phone. But you cannot intercept sms messages before they get to the inbox. This is primarily a limitation of j2me. J2me cannot perform native operations. It may also be a limitation of the phone. If your Nokia is an S40 series then there is no chance of doing what you would like to do. If it is a smartphone (s60 or s80) you *might* be able to do something using JNI or Symbian C++.
