Error in MS-SQL 2005

I notice that my daily DB backup job in SQL is not working anymore. So I went and edit the job to see what is going on. Here is the error I am getting:

Re-register the dts.dll file. On the server, open a command prompt and type:

regsvr32 dts.dll

Also Apply SP3 for SQL Server 2005..

Ok the regsvr32 dts.dll fix the issue. As for the service pack 3, I try in the past to install it but it allways fail with an error. I will try again. I keep you posted.

I try to install the service pack 3 again and it fail like before. Also, the maintenance plan is failing now. It says to have a look at the log for more detail. Where are these log?

Ok, the failing installation of SP3 is what causes the initial problem. After I try installing SP3 the initial problem return. So I guess the SP3 problem needs to be found in order to fix the other issue for good.
