I would rather make this change to the Global Policy within the Policy Manager, instead of each configuration file. If you do it the way it specifies, you will have to create & manage essetially the number of policies as users. e.g. (that means if you have 100 users then you would have to create & manage 100 policies that reside within each client. The Policy Manager is simply the best way to manager all your users under 1 global poicy. If you need to customize or separate into groups e.g.(remote users needing dual login) you can in the Policy Manager as well.

To edit/view the Policy Manager: Open ERAC, then Tools >> Policy Manager... Once the Policy Manager Dialog is up, under Default Parent Policy, select Default Policy and click on the right side mid way down Edit... This will launch the Confiuration Editor for the Default Policy. Here is where you should make the following changes:
Go to ESET Smart Security, ESET NOD32 Antivirus >> ESET Kernel >> Setup >> Email Protection. Select Email Protection & Under Value select either Infected emails only or Never. CLick Save & Exit. CLick OK on the Policy Manager dialog box & your done. All clients will be updated during then next update cycle (by default every 5 min.)
