We would like to mirror the harddisk in realtime running on our fedora 12 box.
how to do it for a running box as well as for a new installation? We would prefer using some GUI tool available instead of doing with command line.

If you accept command line tools, there is much more like HTOP, http://htop.sourceforge.net/

I understand that you want MIRROR not monitor ??

If the hard disks are on the same server then use Linux Software raid (mdadm)

If the disks are on separate servers use DRDB
