ISATAP network

From what I've read, ISATAP is primarily for intranet communication.  I haven't found any reference to it being directly routable through the internet.  Is this correct?  What is a good use for ISATAP other than testing IPv6 applications?

ISATAP is a migration step to allow IPv6 on a IPv4 network.  This is a pretty good article to review:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2008.03.cableguy.aspx
