What is SVN if I may ask?

yes, it is SVN. I uninstalled tortoiseSVN as inspired from the first reply link. But it didn't help.

The problem appears to be using Subversion 1.6.2. Dreamweaver CS4 uses the Subversion 1.4.5 client library, which is incompatible with SVN 1.6.2. The only solution at the moment appears to be to use Subversion 1.4.5 or earlier.

Dump the repository with the 1.6.3 copy you have installed, THEN downgrade it, recreate the repository, setup the users and permissions again and then reload the repository from the dumped files.

It seems the problem may be caused by TortoiseSVN and Dreamweaver CS4 as it seems DW will work with a later version of Subversion but only if no other client interacts with the repository & ever.  To me, it seems highly unstable though and would still recommend downgrading to 1.4.5 until Adobe fix the real problem.

I have tried the solutions posted by everybody above. But nothing worked. The problem appears beyond client version mismatch issue in my environment. But I appreciate everybody's attempt to help, especially hello_everybody's detailed solution.

Well, I also did some research online and tried a number of suggesting from there. Nothing turned out to be working so far.

You may close the question now. Thanks.
