Can I install SQL 2008 Performance Tools on a live server

Hi

I need to install the SQL 2008 performance tools on a live db server (Win 2k3 R2) without interrupting the services. Can I do this safely?

Thanks

Paul

The SQL Server 2008 Setup validates your computer configuration before the Setup operation completes, so you should be able to select the performance tools in the setup and it will tell you if a reboot is required to add those features, if it is then just cancel the setup and schedule it for a time when you can reboot the server.

How to: Add Features to an Instance of SQL Server 2008 (Setup)

Feature Installation Rules

However since it is only the performance tools I would suspect that it does not require a reboot.
