Maximum number of JBoss instances that can be run simultaneously

Hello Experts,
Is there any limitation to the max.number of instances that can be started from a single JBoss server?
If I am right, by default JBoss provides for configuring 4 additional instances through the Service Binding Manager. Is there any other way that allows to configure and run any number of instances?
I am on JBoss 4.2

Note: I want to configure and run these instances for a single IP address on different ports (8480,8580 and so on)

Thanks,
Remesh

there is no limitation on number of jboss servers. It is just a physical limitation - number of CPU's, RAM for JBOSS JVM on your server
You can easily copy one of Binding Manager configs and modify it for more than 4 instances.
