What is the best software to use to whipe a hard drive.

    Darik's Boot and Nuke ("DBAN") is a self-contained boot disk that securely wipes the hard disks of most computers. DBAN will automatically and completely delete the contents of any hard disk that it can detect, which makes it an appropriate utility for bulk or emergency data destruction.

    RoadKill's Utility works great

    This method does delete your data, it overwrites it with Zero's. (Called Zero Fill)

    If you were to do this 10 times it would be to DOD standards (I Think)
