How Do i troublehoot Failure of Microsoft firewall in my ISA 2006
hi Guys
I have a box A (server) runinng ISA 2006,my scanrio is that the microsft firewall in the ISA server stops running on its own. Several attemps will be needed to start the firewall again. They firewall may also decided to stop at will.
Will sincerely welcome help on how to deal with this situation

3. The Event Log is: "The description for Event ID (21138)in source ( Microsoft Firewall) cannot be found. The Local computer may not have th enecessary registry information or messages DLL files to display messages from a remote computer . You can be able to use /AUXSOURCE=flagto retrieve this description . see Help and support for deatails.
The following is part of the event : Internet verifier 2http://enlconsortium.com;5000;11890.

Were there any changes made to the ISA 2006 prior to the problem you are experiencing?

The ISA is downloading latest update and patches.
There was no serious changes apart from we tried confuguring VPN in the ISA we actually got traffic moving but slow,but then we disabled the VPN. I wonder if this will be an issue.

Before adding the VPN on the firewall, was the firewall running smoothly without the ISA Server stopping at random?
What does the event log show on the server? there should be a log entry when it decides to stop. Please post it here if possible.
