Company Laptop tracking

Hi everyone, I was given a work laptop to bring home with me and everywhere I go since my job consists of traveling. I do a lot of my personal work on here and I've been with the company for 7 years now. My question is, are the internet activities tracked somehow? Apparently there's a file that executes that updates the virus definition etc., whenever I go back to the office to connect up to their network domain. I have done a lot of personal activities on my work laptop such as logging into my credit card account, bank account and also job searching sites. LOL, thats my concern, I dont want them to find that i'm browsing for jobs. Anyone have any idea if this is happening? I talked to my IT guy and he doesnt think so.

it is possible but unless  you are doing anything illegal i don't see the problem, i work for a company with over 300k employees and have a company laptop, i find it hard to believe they are individually tracking everyone as it technically costly endeavor.

You could keep delete all traces of your internet usage by running a cleaning program like ccleaner (it is free )(http://www.ccleaner.com/) which i use to sometimes remove history and cache of my laptop.

Normally companies will only track sites you visit when you are on their network by web proxies. As long as you are not using the company vpn when you are doing your web searches when working remotely, you should be fine.
