We have been running EBS for 6 weeks now and this file for "updates" keeps growing and causing issues due to lack of space on a networked drive d:/

The path where these "updates" are being saved is:
D:\updates\WsusContent

what is being saved here?
(there are lots of files ranging from a few MBs to 400 MBs. total now is 18.4gb. the total drive size is 30gb, but even when i move other files off this drive, this update folder just continues to grow eating up all the free space. it was originally only 8gb on Monday this week)

Can I move this folder to another drive that has more space?
Can i delete it?
is there a setting within the management console that controls where/ how and how much of these update files are saved?

thank you!

Essential Business Server is the 2008 platform technology that used to be Small Business Server in the 2003 technology platform.  The idea behind them is you get an "all inclusive" answer to your small to medium size business needs: patch management, email, ad service etc.

WSUS or Windows Server Update Services, is how EBS handles patch management.  It downloads updates from MS for deployment to itself and any other machine joined to the domain.  The files there are the updates to be deployed.  That is why you will see very small files and very large files.  To control what patches get downloaded to be loaded, go to your WSUS management console.  For an overview of WSUS, you can look at this document:

In it you will find the info you need to know on how to limit locally cached files.  Direct link here:
