hi,

the domain user in plesk cannot ftp to the account however when i manually add another ftp account they can ftp.

although during the account creation it says "ftp account"

i have seen these articles at parallels , it does not resolve, the computer name is less than 15 characters and also I have run ftpmng.exe --reconfigure-all, but it does not seem to fix the issue.

anyone has any idea where i should look?

Hi;
you have to be connecting to the IP address which the domain is hosted, If you try to connect to an IP which exists on the server but does not resolve to the domain, you may get Home Directory Inaccessible message, even the user/pass is correct.
Except from that, if you track and let us know the error message that your FTP client is giving, we may help you better.

Regards.

the server has multiple ipaddresses behind NAT(pix), I use plesk reconfigurator to add the ip's,

i still get the same error, User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible

the dns is fine and it resolves the domain to the correct ip, also plesk shows that the domain is assigned the right ipaddress (public not internal)

there seems to be a bug in plesk about this....

Hi;
this is not a bug. You have to configure your DNS templates according to that.
