No connectivity to Internet from Windows Home Server
Posted on 2009-12-19
Have recently installed,as an experiment, Windows home server on Vmware Workstation 6 ACE with Windows vista as Guest OS. Have chosen a bridged connection and,as they say, it should sort out the connectivity to the Internet automatically. Not true! I would like to be able to use Home Server to store and backup data on my two machines and have remote access to files when required, with my iphone.
I have the following network configuration:
VMnet 8 :- Subnet 192.168.80.0, Netmask 255.255.255.0
VMnet 1 :- Subnet 192.168.44.0, Netmask 255.255.255.0
Host Machine Local Area Connection 3 (Vmnet 1) Automatic Ip address
Local Area Connection 3 (Vmnet 1) Automatic Ip address
Local Area Connection WLAN_88 Automatic Ip address
I've tried to find in the user guide network settings I can use to connect to the internet but failed.
Can you help me with some words of wisdom and assist me with my problem.
