Hi,

Go into ADSIEdit and check the name.

If your domain is named domain.local, the default OU for the computers is: CN=computers,DC=domain,DC=local

The DN is the CN=<computername>,<OU-path>,DC=domain,DC=local. Just check ADUC and go from bottom to top for the computer object

Some commands to query the DN:

On any computer to get its own DN:
gpresult
gpresult|more
gpresult /scope computer|find "CN="

On computer with adminpak.msi installed (DCs etc), use dsquery to find any computer's DN:
dsquery computer -name computername

First line became uncomplete as ADUC will not display the CN= and OU= prefixes that nead to be written down manually. What I ment with the line is how the DN is constructed.
Just use the gpresult or dsquery commands as posted will give you the complete DN of the computer object.
