location of outlook files in xp pro

I am copying the files from the harddrive of a xp pro machine to a new PC. I am trying to locate the office outlook 2003 files so I can take it into the new Win7 PC.

I did a search for *.pst files under hard drive folder but could not find any.

thanks

The old mother board does not work anymore. Hence I am not able to put the old hard drive in to see the location of the pst files.

I know the outlook applications was used and available even on the day the mother board failed due to a short circuit.

the other files (documents & settings, program files are all intact) in the hard drive are there; the hard drive was not affected at all in the crash.

I said show hidden files in that folder, but still I do not see any pst files. There is a file that is outlook that is xml file. The files are all 70 KB or less in that folder. I would imagine the pst file to be in MBs not KBs.

Any thoughts?

thanks

NarendraG, thanks. I am following you, but the files are not there. It is puzzling to say the least. Is it always a .pst extention only?
