Glen KnightCommented:
If you followed the installation through of your SBS install then Exchange is already installed?

Check under Start > All Programs > Microsoft Exchange

Is it a clean installation?
I would probably start again if it is.

If not check the lgfiles exists in the location the error mentions and check that the user you are using to do the install has the permissions to read/write to it.

Do you have UAC enabled? Are you using the administrator user or the Admin user the setup wizard asks you to create?

I am using admin user. How do i disable UAC.

Glen KnightCommented:
It's in Control Panel under users click to change User Access Control

alternatively login using the administrator account.

Is it a clean install? You might be better off starting again, SBS can get a bit shirty if all the components are not installed during install.

so u r saying to enable adminstrator  account login. run the setup.

while sbs installation i skip exchnage.... so cannt we say its clean installation ?

Glen KnightCommented:
Try loging in with the administrator account and running Exchange Setup.

If it was me and it was a clean unused SBS install then I would be starting again.

Just from experience if the components are not installed during the initial build they never work properly.
