I have no image on this unit
I have the 8.0(4) image on my laptop ready to go..

Try the following:

rommon #0> ADDRESS=x.x.x.2
rommon #1> SERVER=x.x.x.3
rommon #2> GATEWAY=x.x.x.1
rommon #3> IMAGE=your.asa.image.bin
rommon #4> PORT=Ethernet0/0
rommon #5> tftp
rommon #6> reload

Replace x.x.x.2 with your ASA IP address, x.x.x.x3 with your TFTP server address, x.x.x.1 with your default router address and your.asa.image.bin with whatever your image name is.  Once you execute "PORT=Ethernet0/0", the interface should register as UP.  If it doesn't, please let me know how you have the ASA connected to your TFTP server.
