Maven Compile Error, Symbol not found

Hi all,

I compiled a program and get a lot of errors which look like this  :-
Cannot find symbol : class XmlElement
Cannot find symbol : variable Browser

and all the errors involving cannot find symbol. I tried to search online, but nothing really helps. Can someone give me an idea what could possibly go wrong?
Thanks

It because the classpath doesn't contain artifact that has definition of these classes.

I don't think you've got the appropriate packages in your pom.

http://maven.apache.org/pom.html

You need to ensure that you include all the appropriate artifacts (i.e. jars) in your pom.xml file
