Toshiba notebook wont install ati drivers
Hi
I have a Toshiba Satellite Notebook A200
Model Name: Satellite A200-23J
Model number: PSAE6E-0E6041ZA
It has a ATI Raedon 2600 built in graphics
Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370 @ 1.73GHz
2GB RAM
Running Windows 7 32Bit
My current driver is listed below:
Driver Provider: ATI Technologies
Driver Date: 2009/11/04
Driver Version: 8.671.0.0
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher
I cannot load the latest drivers that i downloaded from the ati website.
The install completes successfully but it takes very quickly and I know it cud not have installed everything.
I cannot find the Catalyst Control Center.
I would really appreciated any help.

are you sure you have the correct driver? the only one i see there is for w7 - radeon2600 PCIe

I think you must have tried the desktop driver.

Depending on where you look, the correct names for the laptop version are:
Radeon Mobility HD 2600 -or- Mobility Radeon HD 2600
ATI only offers a Driver for Win7 beta

ATI says to go to the laptop manufacturer for the final Win7 driver.

Toshiba says: ""Installation of Windows 7 is not supported by Toshiba for laptops made prior to 2007.""
You might have some luck with the beta driver.
I don't have anything to test that idea on.
