Need help understanding how to advance frames by an action in Flash

I have a flash project I'm working on in CS4.  I've made flash projects in the past and didn't seem to have a problem using actions to advance to different frames when I button is pressed but for whatever reason I can't seem to figure it out in CS4 using the Actionscript 3.  I posted a file that I can be worked on if need be.

I'm trying to advance frame 1 to frame 20 when pressing the word Capabilities

I didn't put a stop() or however it is done now in frame 1 yet.

I've attached an as3 and an as2 version of the solution.

Just because you're in CS4 doesn't mean you *have* to use as3. If you prefer to use as2 because you are familiar with it, just use 'File, Publish Settings, Flash tab, script' and choose the version of actionscript you want to use.

I'm not sure why this is but everytime I go to the right side to type the action in the actions window, it doesn't let me type very much but I'm not understanding how the actions menu works.  I will of course copy and paste the code that you gave me and that should work just fine for this issue.  Do you know of any good instructions on the actions menu?  I also need to use AS3 for this because one of the components I purchased is AS3.

Hi Zantis.

The best source training source I've found for all Flash needs is www.lynda.com

I can't help you myself with AS3 as I still use AS2 !
