In VS 2008 goto Help-> ABout MS Visual Studio

That will tell you if u have SP1 installed.

If you see u dont have it installed then download it here:

I don't believe purchased versions of Visual Studio include sp1 but if it does, you can check it under the help menu and then select about Visual Studio 2008.  If you are running SP1 your version number will be 9.0.30729.1
