Hi Experts,

I have 2 HP Procurve 2610-48 Switches, 1 HP Procurve 2510-24, and 1 NetGear Switch. How do I go about setting all these up? I tried to setup the HP Procurve switches as stacks (One commander and two members) but this doesnt work because I was unable to ping any computer. Is there a particular port that I should have the Cisco PIX attach too? I am somewhat new to HP Procurve Networking.

Each switch has its own IP address but when I linked the switches together, I could not ping anything. I know I must be doing something wrong. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

always use crossconnct cable behind the switches, and use same broadcast domain for management...

Sw1:

vlan 1
 ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

Sw2:

vlan1
 ip address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0

I found the problem. I had a loop in one of the switches which caused the whole network problem.
