3Com AirConnect 9550 Access Point with MacBook - Wireless Connectivity Issue

Can anyone confirm the recommended wireless setting to setup up a wireless Access Point to connect with a Mac Book?  AES, TKIP? We have a few 3Com AirConnect 9550 11n 2.4+5GHz PoE Access Points in the office and we notice that the device gets full reception but has slow connectivity on the internet.  Microsoft Window users do not experience any issues when connected.  Both Mac books and PC Laptops see the SSID and show it as full reception.  Just complaints with the Mac Book users about connectivity and slow performance.   Any suggestions troubleshooting this on are appreciated.

See if the Macs are having DNS problem. Try setting the DNS on one of the Macs manually to the Google public DNS servers at:

8.8.8.8        and 8.8.4.4

and see it that makes a difference.

ASKER

It broadcasts a 2.4 and 5GHz signal at the same time.  Currently using, WPA2(mixed)-PSK/AES.  If I switch from AES to TKIP a warning pop up appears telling me that switching to this setting may deteriorate my signal.
I still recommend you try WPA. Your connectivity speed couldn't get any worse :)
WPA TKIP on 2.4 connected best with Macbooks.
Thank you
