SQL Server Reporting Services Version = 9.00.3042.00 - inidcates Express but installed WorkGroup

Hi all.. I installed MS SQL Server 2005 workgroup edition which should have also installed the same reporting services version, however... this doesn't appear to be the case.  I need to create report subscriptions and am unable to do so since this version of RS doesn't include  this functionality.  When I try to 'upgrade the RS component' of SQL Server, nothing happens because the installation seems to indicate the corresponding version of RS is already installed.  Another thing to note is:  During RS configuration the ReportServer db created is named : ReportServer and not ReportServer_Express.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Do you have Express with Advanced Services installed in your machine..
That might have probably installed Reporting Services Express version in your machine..

ASKER

At one point Enterprise Studio express may have been installed but that was uninstalled and SQL server 2005 Workgroup was installed along with the Reporting Services components.
>> that was uninstalled and SQL server 2005 Workgroup was installed

Your Express components was not completely removed out and hence Reporting Services Express was still in your machine..
Kindly uninstall it completely and try again..
Thanks!  I've done this twice already and am not sure if repeating the same steps will produce a different result.
Kindly check the presence of SQL Server Express edition in the following places:

* SQL Server Configuration Manager ---> Under Network Configuration
* Add/ Remove programs

Version no. is the same across all Editions of SQL Server..
You can check the edition currently running using this:

SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('edition')
