How do I install Windows XP in VirtualBox?

I'm using a new mini mac.

I start VirtualBox and I get the error:

This usually means there is no HDD or CD found.

Did you add a CD drive/ ISO image to the virtualbox machine?

You have got the CD device for the VM set as "Host something" this means its going ot use the host's CD/DVD drive.

Have you got a working xp disk in the host drive?

or are you looking to add an ISO image to virtual box?
Fairly simple really :)

Either insert a Windows XP CD in your physical CDRom drive, then boot the virtual machine.

Or, if you have an iso image of XP:
Next to "CD/DVD device" there is this folder icon with a green mark.
Click it, and select the path to the iso image, add it to the drive, then boot.

In the third picture on your screenshot (on the right), select the 'Add' button on top and point it to your image.

Put a checkmark for 'Passthrough'.

If that does not work, please check and make sure that your computer is able to boot off the dvdrom drive. I'm not familiar with Macs, but they must have something resembling the Setup/BIOS where this is defined.
