Installing XP in Virtualbox

Hello,

How do I install Windows XP in VirtualBox?

I'm using a new mini mac.

I start VirtualBox and I get the error:

Fatal. No Bootable Medium Found! System Halted.

I'm not sure how to add a CD Drive.

You have got the CD device for the VM set as "Host something" this means its going ot use the host's CD/DVD drive.

Have you got a working xp disk in the host drive?

Andrew
or are you looking to add an ISO image to virtual box?

edit:

In the third picture on your screenshot (on the right), select the 'Add' button on top and point it to your image.
I have the XP Desk in my DVD drive.

I start VirtualBox and I get the same error.
Put a checkmark for 'Passthrough'.
If that does not work, please check and make sure that your computer is able to boot off the dvdrom drive. I'm not familiar with Macs, but they must have something resembling the Setup/BIOS where this is defined.
Got it. Thanks guys! This is really interesting
