CRS services won't start

Hi,

I have 3 RAC cluster. Two of three went down. I tried crs_start -all but for some reason they still won't come back up. New to Oracle so not really sure where to start.

Thanks

did you try this?
$ export ORACLE_SID=sid_name
$ srvctl start nodeapps -n rac1
$ srvctl start asm -n rac1
$ srvctl start instance -d devdb -i devdb1

and use crsctl -t stat for check the status

I mean
$ export ORACLE_SID=dev_db1
$ srvctl start nodeapps -n rac1
$ srvctl start asm -n rac1
$ srvctl start instance -d devdb -i devdb1

dev_db1 is your sid on the first node (rac1). repeat the same for all the other nodes...

1. Check your CRS logs (alert, crsd etc)
2. Verify all required components are available (voting + ocr disks, interfaces)

I just had a similar problem where a bonded NIC used by the private interconnect had broken after a power surge and the interface hadn't started at boot.

where can I find the CRS logs? Thanks

MrNedCommented:
I don't have a cluster readily accessible right now, but from memory its under $CRS_HOME/logs.

There's a main alert log as well as subdirectories for each of the clusterware processes (ocsd etc). Check all of them for an ORA error.

Also, do you know what triggered the two to go down? Did they go down at the same time? If so check the alert log of the one that stayed up and you'll probably see that it evicted the other two because they stopped responding.

No sure what triggered them to go down. I'm a real novice when it comes to Oracle. I'll get backt to you..thanks.
