Windows 7 Welcom screen issue

Hello,, Im having a quite annoying problem with windows 7 in various computers. When the user tries to log on it gets stuck for about 1-2 minutes on the "welcome screen" after they log in. the computers are not slow or old to be taking this long, even vista didnt behave like this. Its quite embarasing when im trying to show a manager how well windows 7 works, when it gets stuck on the welcome screen OR the Please wait screen at boot up.  I heard its caused by a solid color background but i dont have any of those on the computers. Im wondering if there is a fix for this, its quite ridiculous that it takes so long.  thanks

Try these solutions: http://www.vistax64.com/general-discussion/211443-long-welcome-screen.html
They say for Vista, but are applicable to Windows 7 as well. After these steps my time on that screen went from 45 seconds to just under 5 seconds. :)

try to clean your desktop & try to uncheck  the strat up items from  strat-->run --> Msconfig --> Start up

or check that any unused service is active . after do this check again if your problem has been solved or not

good luck

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

We analysed it with windows vista. There are mainly two factors:
-AV software ->shutdown your scanner completely or uninstall it for a test
-group policies ->put the user and the computer to test OUs, wait a little for this change to get replicated to all DCs and restart

oops, forgot something: the test OUs must of course be configured to block inheritance of all GPOs.
