how to backup blackberry messenger contacts

can someone tell me how to do this ?

i did a full backup with desktop manager 5.0 but when i do a restore they are not coming back.

phones are activated on bes 5.0 then doing a restore afterwards.

plug in phone > open dm > backup/restore > advanced > on the right side > select the ones you want > move it to the left (middle arrows (one pointing to left)) > once done > options > save

Should read, "if the Blackberry device Address Book is set to Wireless Sync, the restore of the Address Book is disabled in Desktop Manager"

What version of Blackberry Messenger are you using?

If you are using 4.x I would advise going to www.blackberry.com/messenger on your handheld and upgrading to version 5. Within this version you can back up your contacts remotely or locally. Both work very well. I've had to recover my contacts both; and have done it by the remote backup/restore method without any problems.
