I am setting up a server with network teaming but this is my first time.  How do I need to set up the switch to handle it?  My switch is a HP Procurve 4108GL with the latest firmware.  The goal is to have fault tolerance and increased bandwidth.

Thanks!

Do you mean trunking? Aggregated ports that act as one?

What is the 4108 connected to?

Yes, trunking. :)  I was going to connect it to a server that is very bandwidth heavy.

Just trunk the ports connected the server.  The nics on the server will also have to be trunked together.

You can do this the easiest from the web browser or command line using the 'Trunk' command

Thanks for the info!  I have trunked two ports on the 4108gl to truck group 1 with lacp active.  I will do the same to the nic when I have it installed.
