Connect Outlook to Exchange through Trust Relationship

I have two internal domains, domain 1 and domain 2.  I have a full two way domain trust configured between both domains.  On domain 1 im running exchange 2007 and on domain 2 i am runnning exchange 2003.  I have users on domain 1 that need to need to access their old mailboxes on domain 2. I have asked the users to setup another outlook profile and connect over to domain 2 to view there old outlook profile.  When attempting to do this outlook gives the following error:

The action could not be completed.  The name could not be matched to a name in the address list.

Any ideas?

users can only be configured to one Exchange profile at the time.
Try forwarding or imap instead (?)

not if they are using an additional outlook profile, you can use multiple profiles to sync different exchange accounts.

Are the old accounts hidden from the GAL?
Do the trusted accounts have permissions to access the mailboxes?

Not hidden and yes the user has access to the accounts.  I am able to successfully connect to the accounts on a workgroup pc off the domain, just not on a computer that is part of the domian 1.

That would tend to indicate the trust or permissions are not correct. A workgroup system isn't using the trust.
