How to send a massive mail. But not consider spam?

Hello all,
i need to send about 10.000 mails for the clients of my company :O.
Because the administration want´s to, and i dont know how to do this without being consider spam.
I already talk to my ISP and they said to me to send an email for them with my Mail server IP and the specific dates.
Is this so linear?
Can you help?
Kind Regards

First of all: The recipients will not know you're sending out this many, they will have only  their own spam filter to judge the "quality".
You have a few options:
a) Send like 100 at a time, then wait at least 10 minutes. (script it in VBA).
b) Mark it as bulk email and pray your company will not get blacklisted.
You'll probably get blacklisted by a few of the many Spam Blacklisting companies (like http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml)

are you going to sent it out personalized?
so that would mean 1 email per recepient .. that way I would indeed script it .. you can do batches like peakpeak said or just wait 10 seconds between each mail (it would mean close to 28 hours of sending mail)
the combination of volume and the same message would indeed set off some alarms in blacklist country but if you want to send out 10000 mails you will have to live with that.
you can always use a company that specializes in this sort of thing and they would be the ones dealing with the blacklists etc..

Hi,
Exchange is not meant to do Bulk Mailing, no matter what you say, there can be chances of you being blacklisted.
I would recommend you google, there are 100s of Bulk Mailing Software available, use them
Thanks

Problems using Powershell and Active Directory?

Managing Active Directory does not always have to be complicated.  If you are spending more time trying instead of doing, then it's time to look at something else. For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why

I don't think his Management are aware of the consequences. They believe it's just an email ...

I try to explained to the management the consequences of this, but they are just people with no IT knowledge and they just think like this i paid for all communications with ISP so just do it.
Im thinking to send the mails with postfix, any other suggestions?
Whith some kind of script read the mail recipients from a txt file and send him in Bcc.
CAn you suggested a script?
p_nuts -> yes is personalized

Inform Management that when you're blacklisted you will not be able to send email to certain recipients. You also need manually to contact every spam listing company that has you blacklisted and enter a more or less lengthy process to remove your company from the blacklistings

Hi,
Like I said, go for some Bulk Management Software, or setup a dummy setup and use a open SMTP server to send mails. But no guarantee that mails will go.
You can also use Mail Merge with Outlook and schedule to send in 200-500 users at one time, over a period of time to avoid being listed
Thanks

I am no an expert on this but was wondering, if sending from a DSL home line, would solve this, its just an IP that changes every time you connect, so what if its blacklisted, send them all with a script that will finish sending in a few minutes and thats it.

Is this reasonable ??

@gupnit and @small_student   ~   that would be very unprofessional.
please bare in mind that using a temporary smtp or privat line would be illigal on most ISP's and using somebody that forgot to lock down their smtp would be the same and would be SPAMMING.
If you can't do it through your normal infrastructure hire a company who has the infra to do it..

Yes I agree 100%, but technically they are not spamming. They are safeguarding themselves. I did recommend using Software :-)
