Exchange 2003 --> 2007 Migration Process

Looking for assistance, best pratices, great knowledge articles, do's/don't.. etc to make this Migration sucessful

Can you explain a bit more about the current config?
Single server? Orultiple DC's exchange servers?

Single Server, Exchange is not running on a DC, Multiple DC's in the enviorment

there aren't really any gotchas.  The one thing I would recommend if there will be a period where mailboxes could reside on both 2003 & 2007 is to first install a CAS (Client Access Role) as a temporary measure because the 2007 server will not proxy requests for 2003 if it has mailboxes on it.

So for example install a 2007 CAS only role (this could be a virtual machine as it's only temporary) then install your live CAS, Mailbox, Hub Transport server.

Reconfigure your OWA URL forwarding so it goes to the CAS only server.  This way both the 2003 and 2007 can use OWA during migration.
