Try removing it with the windows installer cleanup util:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

After that, you'll want to delete the Adobe8 files from C:\program files and C:\Program Files\Common Files

Enphyniti, gave a good suggestion but I would highly recommend the adobe process to remove the application since they are the company who created the software... using the other technique may leave files behind and will cause problems in the future....

good luck..

Agreed.  If forgot about all of the toolbars Acrobat installs in virtually every other application you own.

Removing them all would be tedious without a guide.

Please use the Revo Uninstaller. It will remove any trace of Adobe Acrobat installation.

Good luck!

I've cleaned up many Acrobat installations with MS's installer cleanup utitlity. I always install the same version of Acrobat again after I use the cleanup utility, and then uninstall that version. That takes care of removing anything that would otherwise stay on the system. I've never had any problems with this process.

Forgot to mention: The reason why I'm not using Adobe's manual process is that it's to cumbersome, I would only use it when I don't have access to the install medium for the version I want to remove.
