cant find distribution database data and log files

i installed sql server 2008 on a server and i specified 'd' folder for the data files and log files including the root folder. I cant locate the distribution database data and log files.
In SQL server 2005, after a new install and without replication being configured, i can find the distribution db data and log files.
Is something wrong with the install or in SQL 08, is the distribution database created after repliation is configured.

Start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, connect to the server, right click on the database and select Properties option from the menu. Properties dialog contains File pathes.

If you've selected D: for data then your data should be in

This folder is visible to the user running SQL Server Service only.
