    Accepted Solution

This has to be done through 3rd party tools like OST2PST:

Otherwise, you can open outlook in offline mode (disconnected from the network) so it loads the OST file. then manually copy emails to a SPT file from it.

You can use Advanced Exchange Recovery at . It works perfectly for us.

As far as offline mode goes: if you still have the outlook porfile configured, just disconnect the workstation from network and open outlook. It will open Outlook using the local OST file cache.  You can then just copyemails out of it inot a local PST.

If it's too messy (eg no outlook profile configured etc) one of the 3rd party tools mentioned above like ost2pst or aexr will do the trick. Most of the "Free" versions will give yo a preview of what they can recover, but to actually get the data you ahve to buy them.

ok, thanks.  Looks like they are all running about $200+, is there anything open source or maybe like you say the one's you buy are best?
