OWA 2007 can't sign digital ID

Hello Experts!
I have a Exchange 2007 SP1. The problem is that from OWA, I can´t sign digitally messages with smart card.
When I try to send a sign message, appears error, digital ID not found, try to reinsert the card.
I installed S / MIME, I have IExplorer 7, W XP.
From the Outlook client can sign correctly.
Any solution?

Please refer to the S/MIME section of the following article:

Have you got Exchange Service Pack 1 installed and also personal Certificates?
There are also several Rollups (latest is Rollup 9) plus Service Pack 2 for Exchange 2007 that might resolve your problems.

Hi alanhardisty!!

Thanks for your answer!

You think that the problems resolves intalling SP2? The last document is over Exchange 2007 SP1 and this user can sign correctly.
I don't know for sure that the problem is resolved with SP2 - but with all things Microsoft, get the software up-to-date and then if the problem still occurs, then it can be worked on.
Have you checked the personal certificate for the user?  Not sure if that is what you have said in your last comment.
Thanks
Alan
Hi alanhardisty.

The user certificate is good. I can sign correctly, with Microsoft Oulook client, but from OWA, errors appears.
Do you see the two new button for digital signature in OWA?
Yes, I can see two buttons.

The problem is as if OWA not detect the certificate from smart card.
Okay - that's good.
Have you seen this article about managing S/MIME for OWA?
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb738151.aspx
This is for Exchange 2010, but 2007 is very much the same.
Thanks Alan.

I will test and tell you.

Regards
Thanks - will wait for your feedback.
