Front page 2003 removal ?

Hi!
If I uninstall Front page 2003 will the uninstaller leave my websites pages that are under inetpub/wwwroot in tack on my hard drive?
If not, how should I relate them to somewhere safe?
My operating system is Windows 7 Pro.
I am now using Sharepoint Designer.

you websites under intetpub/wwwroot will not be affected by removal of the program frontpage...

personally I would always back them up each week to somewhere..

I agree frontpage isnt tied to anything, when ir runs it looks into all files that are actully your stes/pages.  When you uninstall it shouldnt touch any of those files.

"Components in you portal"? What does that mean?

as mccarthybri says...

if just remove frontpage 2003 the all should be OK
if removing web components it depends if being used by your site
if removing FP extension this could affect you site if using the extensions......

please note your question - this has been answered

So does Office 2007 Sharepoint Designer not already have a built in page viewer? Or is it built upon the 2003 web components? I do not think I am using any extensions since the pages are ASP and use CSS.
Is there a way to tell? BTW, I increased the points from 250 to 350 and now 500.

Office 2007 Sharepoint Designer can use web components i would not worry.

Office 2007 Sharepoint Designer is for designing sharpoint websites only (ideally).

I still say it is safe to remove frontpage

a little insight into the webcomponents

if you portal is small and doesnt have a lot of fancy webparts you should be ok to remove it if you havent allready

i agree with cs, SPD 2007 is a great tool to replace Front page.
