Hi,

OK, As the patch needs server to be restarted, restart server and then check again.

SBS monitoring wizard can be re configured from Server Management > MOnitoring and reporting.

Hi,

Well, the first lost connectivity could be temporary, could be due to some hardware problem of NIC. Now clear all the logs of SBS under event viewer and check back again if you face error, post a screen shot.

i have done all of the suggestions you made

just looking at the server now

the Page File usage is 4.9GB is that normal for a server?

the error that comes out of the server is a ISA Control Error 1407
that was the only error and the first error in the log at the time see below

right i got some server hardware monitoring software and have come up with something

the server lost connectivity today and at the time that it did, this monitoring software that i have, logged what was happening on the server

and what it come out with was that 2857.91 pages per second are being moved from physical ram to virtual memory and the ram and cpu goes through the roof

am i right in thinking that the server is being overloaded by requests from something and cannot take anymore requests until it has dealt with current requests therefore temporarily losing connectivity? sort of like a denail of service on itself?

thanks

Hi,

As many of others have done, you can simply ignore this message Event ID: 14079

Also Tom Shinder(ISA MVP) talking about it here: http://forums.isaserver.org/m_2002088062/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#2002088062

its not happening as frequently now, but the problem was that it causes all server activity to be disconnected

Hi,

Well, this event should not cause problem with internet activity! as I can see in the snaps you are also having errors from source Microsoft Frewall that could be causing the ISA not to respond. For that error check suggestions here:
http://forums.isaserver.org/m_240012200/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#240012200

so when ISA is unable to connect to one of the other sites for a prolonged period of time isa can lose connectivity to itself?

Hi,

No, it should not, have you find this somewhere? I think you need to check 'Connectivity Verifier' if those are not causing issue as above post from isaserver.org suggests! also are you updated with all the latest Microsoft patches from Microsoft update site(not Windows update).

Hi,

Sorry for the late response, I couldn't follow up with long list of questions!

Well, Yes, In the main dashboard you would see connectivity verifier tab, there you can check if any corruption there, if you find any then simply delete that connectivity verifier!
