Using PHP include in PDF a tiff image (or eps) that are not vectorial

Hi,

I need to include into a PDF using PHP a TIFF image or a EPS, the image is 300dpi as it is for printing, and quality is critical. Is there a class that can do it proper?

If it is not possible with PHP is there any other aplications that can be run from the server side (a console aplication) that can do the job?

Thanks for any ideas.

PDF_load_image(): http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.pdf-load-image.php - comments at the bottom are good examples too. ;)

In this case we need PHPLib, but we use a share ftp so no chance to install it there, and I am not sure it supports tiff images.

FPDF is a pure PHP solution for PDF files but doesn't support TIFF files.  For FPDF, you'll need to convert your TIFF to JPEG or PNG first.

As I wrote at the beginning I can not convert it to such formats as they loose quality which is critical as I will use that for printing.

PNG is a lossless compression & as such a conversion would be pixel-to-pixel equivalent.  JPEG can be set to lossless compression equating the same also.  TIFF format is just a wrapper & may contain lossy compression already.
