Selective Journaling

I'm looking for a free (if possible) 3rd party program for Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003 that will allow me to capture outgoing mail that individual users are sending out.

Ive heard of http://www.ivasoft.biz/sj.shtml but I do not want to have to pay any money if I don't have to, because I'm not sure how long this one employee is going to last anyways.

Enable Message Journaling on your Exchange 2003 server.

That does not let me enable it for Individual users.

You are right... For some reason I had 2007 on my brain, which allows selective journaling on a user by user case.  I am not aware of any freeware applications that will accomplish your task.

Yeah 2007 is great and makes my life easy, but I wont be able to get them to go forward until the server blows or gets run over by a truck.

The Ivasoft product that you have pointed to is the only one that I am aware of that will do this for you on Exchange 2003 with SBS 2003. If you were on Enterprise edition then more options become available, and of course SBS 2008 with Exchange 2007.

It comes to pay the money or don't have the functionality. Very little is free in the Exchange world.

Simon.
