How can I create a second printer driver?

I have a Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo attached to a USB port.   I am running XP Professional.   The Dymo printer driver is installed and works normally.   I want to print to this printer from some of my programs as a generic/tetxt only printer, but keep the existing driver for some applications.   How can I do this?

"For local printers, you can run the APW and install them more than once.
This would create a printer something like "HP OfficeJet 7210 All-In-One
(Copy 2)".  Since these print queues have different names they are different
printers to the spooler & can have different settings as you described in
     your mail.
If you want to create a duplicate via the Add Printer wizard try these
     1) Install the printer normally for the first queue.  Print a test page to
make sure everything is working correctly. (you may have done this already)
     2) Right click on the printer queue icon in the printers folder & select
     3) Select the Ports tab.  What you want to see is the port name that is
checked.  This will be something like "USB001" "Virtual printer port..." "HP
     OfficeJet 7210..."
     4) Start the Add Printer wizard.
     5) Select the local option.
     6) On the port drop down, find the port you saw on step 3.
     7) On the driver page, select the appropriate driver for your device.
     8) It will ask you if you want to replace or use the installed driver.  I'd
use the installed one, but this shouldn't make a big difference either way.
     9) You'll be allowed to rename the printer.
     10) Print a test page if you wish to test it out."

Works in XP. I have tried it.
    APW means Add Printer Wizard.
