How to get VM Ware ESX 4.0

Hi
I am about to virtualise a Poweredge 2900 and wish to use a bare metal hypervisor. I am looking for a free version that has a GUI interface. The VMWare licensing info is very confusing. I think I need ESX 4.0 but I can't seem to find a download. I've downloaded ESXi 4.0 and it mentions 60 day evaluation. There is no option to enter a license key through the installation. Do I have the wrong version?

ASKER

As I mentioned in my question I have downloaded ESXi 4 but it doesn't seem to have a free interface.
The free key is located at vmware website when you try to download, login & try to redownload the iso again, it is actually on the same page
I have downloaded the ISO version.
Booted the machien from disk and got the yellow and black interface. At no stage do I get the option to insert the licence key given to me.
When teh machine is up and running it displays Downlaod tools to manage this host from http:192.168.X.X.

When I navigate to that page from another machine I get the following screen: (see attached)

What do I do next. I installed VSphere client which has a 60 day limit and a $1000 price tag.

Login to the host using VI client, to set the free key, refer below

Where is that on the screen I showed you?
"Download vSphere client" and install on Windows based machine
Use that client to login & connect to your esxi host
I don't get that option please attached.
