Copying Virtual Machines between ESX servers

Hi

running two servers, each one on ESX Server 3i 3.5.0.

Is it possible to copy a virtual machine (the entire folder) between servers without using the client to download from the 1st server to a 3rd computer, then re-upload it to the 2nd one?  Is it possible to copy them directly?

Also, is it possible to connect an external USB hard drive?  I plug one in, but doesn't seem to recognize it.  How else would i be able to copy files between servers?

Finally, if i've copied a machine from one server to another (say, copied the entire folder (see problem1.jpg), how do i 'add' that machine on the second server to the inventory?  Would i do it the same way as adding a completely new server (go through the configuration of the name, etc.) and then just pick the existing hard drive when the wizard prompts me for  hard drive specs?

Thanks in advance, much appreciated... trying to learn here :)

As long as you connect the usb drive to the machine you are running the VI client from, then yes you can copy.  Just download the entire directory containing the guest OS.

To register the guest on another host, browse to the directory containing the guest, right click on the .vmx file and register the machine.
