MAPI ODBC issue

i have a access database. In that database i'v a link to an outlook mail folder. when i click the link in access i see all the column and data.

Now .. i have added an ODBC connection with qlikview to that outlook link in access. i see the table.. even the preview of the data in outlook.

but on reload, i get this error:

SQL Error:[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] There are no MAPI clients installed on this machine.  Install a MAPI client (like Outlook) on this machine.
SQL Scriptline:
SQL State:S1000
SQL SELECT *
FROM TABLE

note: i use Qlikview to access outlook using odbc and mails are on exchange server

From its name "Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI)", I think it requires programs for ODBC to communicate.
Have you outlook installed and working on the current machine?

What do you mean by "reload"?
By the way, I think the error message is mis-leading in that this is not a connection problem, but one of security and/or user accounts.  I think what is happening is that under the user account that Qlikview is using when you get the error currently has no MAPI profile, so you get the error message.

with reload i mean .. giving qlikview the command to reload the data.

security issue .. but why does it work on my laptop .. and not on my desktop? laptop from home .. desktop @ work

With tthe laptop, are you using a VPN to connect to the network? vs at work, you have a different style connection?
or in one case is qlikview used in a desktop mode vs being used as a service (something in the system tray) on the other?
Again, I think the error message is mis-leading and just indicating a failure, but not for the reason it says.
