Did you try press f10 for a boot menu and selecting local drive. If it is an hp server make sure that your local drive boot is pointing to that 3405 controller and not another controller in the box.

I have setup an esxi box on a Adaptec 3405 controller.<br />
The setup program detects the controller and installs it ok<br />
Then when it reboots after install<br />
I get hte infamous <br />
&quot;Reboot and Select Proper Boot device&quot;<br />
Insite bios the settings seem to be set correctly, I've run out of trouble shooting options and need the experts to come to the party in this situation...<br />
Any ideas, thoughts, anything would help right now..

Then when it reboots after install
I get hte infamous 
"Reboot and Select Proper Boot device"
Insite bios the settings seem to be set correctly, I've run out of trouble shooting options and need the experts to come to the party in this situation...
Any ideas, thoughts, anything would help right now..
